PixCarry

Your photos, your cloud, automatically.

PixCarry uploads every photo and video you take to storage you own — S3, NAS, SFTP, PhotoPrism, or your own computer. Then it frees up space on your phone.

Works with S3 · SFTP · WebDAV · PhotoPrism · your own Mac

Tired of paying for cloud storage you don't control?

PixCarry backs up to storage you own. Automatic, private, and yours forever. No monthly fees to a big-tech company for a library you can't take with you.

Features

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Automatic background upload

Set it up once. Every new photo and video uploads itself — no manual work, no notifications, no fuss.

Bring your own storage

Connect Amazon S3, SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, PhotoPrism, or a plain HTTP endpoint. Your data, your choice.

PixCarry Desktop

Pair your phone with a small app on Mac, Windows, or Linux. Send photos straight to your computer — no cloud middleman, no cable.

Frees up phone storage

Once originals are safely backed up, PixCarry can remove them from your device to reclaim space.

Low-res previews stay

Even after the original is removed, a thumbnail stays in your camera roll so it still looks complete.

Manual one-tap cleanup

Batched deletion with a single confirmation, not one per photo. You're always in control.

Local duplicate detection

Never uploads the same photo twice, even across app reinstalls. Detected entirely on-device.

Quiet background work

Runs while charging or when your screen is on. Transfers are fastest with the screen on and the app open.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Do you see my photos?

No. PixCarry runs entirely on your device and sends files directly to the storage destination you choose. We have no servers in the middle.

What storage destinations are supported?

Amazon S3 (and S3-compatible providers like Backblaze B2, Wasabi, MinIO), SFTP, FTP, WebDAV, PhotoPrism, a generic HTTP endpoint, and PixCarry Desktop — a small companion app for Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Is Android supported?

Not yet. PixCarry is iOS-first. Android is on the roadmap — sign up for updates via support@pixcarry.com.

Where does my data live?

Wherever you point PixCarry. By default, we recommend your own S3 bucket, your home NAS, or a self-hosted PhotoPrism instance. The choice is yours.
